Opportunity
PA Alliance Foundation is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Manager to join our team.
This position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound grant-related activities and providing
administrative support on fund development. The ideal candidate will be skilled in grant writing, project
management, and donor/funder as well as grantee relations, and will contribute to a fast-paced and
impactful small team.
About PA Alliance+ and PA Alliance Foundation
PA Alliance+ is Pennsylvania's donor table and infrastructure backbone. PA Alliance+ creates strategy
and aligns resources across organizations and donors to leverage their combined impact to achieve lasting
power for a just and equitable PA. PA Alliance Foundation (PAAF) is a 501(c)(3) public charity focused
on civic engagement and democracy advancement across Pennsylvania, working to expand access to the
ballot through non-partisan voter registration, education, and mobilization. PAAF seeks to advocate at the
state level for democracy reform through grassroots activities and support of like-minded organizations on
behalf of and in support of all Pennsylvanians, in particular historically marginalized and underserved
communities, including communities of color, poor and working class communities, and young people.
PAAF and PA Alliance Action, an affiliated 501(c)(4), sit at the center of the permanent progressive
infrastructure, working with national organizations to advise on Pennsylvania investments.
PA Alliance Action and PA Alliance Foundation both work to support, strengthen and align
on-the-ground organizations in the Commonwealth to organize and build power in communities on a
year-round basis.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing and Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive grant management system to monitor applications, progress, outcomes and reports, both for incoming and outgoing grants.
- Prepare, write, and submit grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with funder requirements.
- Manage overall process of grantmaking to partners, including detailed tracking, assuring compliance with legal and project specifications, and integration and evaluation of equitable grantmaking goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funder and community partners to ensure effective collaboration and grantmaking.
- Collaborate with staff and partners to collect data and narrative content for proposals and reports.
- Research and collaborate with the team to identify funding opportunities from various sources, including foundations, pooled funds, and individual donors.
Executive Administration:
- Provide high-level administrative support on fund development to Executive and Deputy
- Directors, including meeting coordination with funders and partners.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Draft and manage correspondence with donors/funders and grantees.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Exceptional writing skills
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and adapt quickly
- Ability to be self-directed whether working in person or remotely (some in person work will be required)
- Previous grant writing and grant management experience is strongly preferred
- Understanding of Pennsylvania progressive landscape is a plus
Position Details
The successful candidate should be based in or willing to relocate to Pennsylvania. We are currently
utilizing a Hybrid work arrangement; Some in-person work, events, and travel are required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Generous benefits and PTO policy.
