Together, SEMA and PRI fuel the success of thousands of businesses, connect industry professionals worldwide, and preserve and grow the future of automotive performance and racing. The organization is seeking applicants to fill the new role of the Gross Roots Manager for Racing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to: Political Director
- Activate and educate track owners, fans, and local communities on key legislative priorities.
- Develop racing-specific messaging, social media, and grassroots campaigns.
- Amplify events and other positive news from racetracks around the country on SEMA and PRI social media and communications channels.
- Represent SEMA and PRI at racing events, building relationships and generating advocacy content.
- Coordinate, in partnership with state and federal government affairs teams, lawmaker visits to racetracks and racing events to educate lawmakers about the positive impact the tracks and events bring to local communities.
- Coordinate PR and comms strategies with the existing PAGA communications team and the SEMA and PRI marketing teams.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
REQUIREMENTS:
- Racing (to include motorsports/powersports) background with multi-discipline knowledge.
- 2-4 years of experience in content creation, political communications, digital organizing, or advocacy campaigns.
- Strong digital communications expertise.
- Ability to connect with diverse personalities and provide white-glove support.
- Willing to travel 50%+.
