Job Title: Legal and Civic Engagement Manager

Reports to: Director of Legal and Civic Engagement

Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000

Location: In-person, requires travel within Lake County and Chicago region

Status: Full-time, Exempt. Benefits Eligible.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal and Civic Engagement Manager located in Chicago, IL. The Legal and Civic Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing programs aimed at improving legal access and civic engagement for immigrant families. Day-to-day tasks include program management, providing consulting and support to immigrant community members, developing and maintaining communication channels, and ensuring effective project management to meet organizational goals.

  • Program Management and Project Management experience
  • Consulting expertise and proficiency in stakeholder engagement
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities
  • A background in legal and civic engagement is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, Social Work, or related field


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
  • Previous DOJ Accreditation.


Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $60,000- $70,000, commensurate with experience. CIP offers a flexible work environment, paid holidays, and vacation. CIP also offers health benefits, retirement contributions, and unlimited PTO.
