Job Description
U.S. Senator Brian Schatz is hiring a legislative correspondent to focus on policy related to labor, government affairs, and judiciary issues. Responsibilities include drafting constituent correspondence, conducting policy research, writing briefing memos, and meeting with constituents and stakeholders. This staffer will also assist with the senator’s work as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Qualified applicants for this position will have exceptional writing, analytical, and organizational skills; work well as part of a team; and have an interest in public policy. Current and former residents of Hawaii are strongly encouraged to apply. The starting salary for this position is $53,110 per year.
