About This Role CLC is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the execution of high-quality communications that support fundraising and key organizational priorities.
This role works closely with the Chief Development Officer and Director of Donor Engagement to translate strategy into clear, compelling materials and campaigns. The person in this role will also serve as the steward of CLC’s brand, ensuring everything we produce is consistent, polished, and aligned.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take direction, run with it, and improve how work gets done over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Create donor-facing materials such as pitch decks, proposals, one-pagers, and reports that support fundraising efforts
- Execute fundraising campaigns (appeals, key giving moments), managing timelines and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery
- Own the quality and consistency of CLC’s communications, ensuring materials are polished, aligned, and on-brand
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve how materials, templates, and communications are structured and presented
- Build and maintain templates and simple systems that make it easier to produce strong, consistent work across the team
- Support communications for enrollment, recruitment, and internal updates
- Manage multiple projects and requests, prioritizing effectively and keeping work moving forward without heavy oversight
- 4–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce clear, compelling content
- Experience creating polished, external-facing materials
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for quality
- Ability to manage projects independently and follow through
- Comfort working within brand guidelines and maintaining consistency
- Materials are consistently clear, compelling, and well-designed
- Campaigns are executed on time and without friction
- Communications across the organization feel aligned and professional
