Remote and hybrid internships are available for Fall 2026.

Internship Program Duration​

12-15 weeks (interns must be able to commit to 12 weeks of work)

Time Commitment

15-25 hours/week minimum (Summer Internships)

10-20 hours/week minimum (Spring & Fall Internships)

Internship Status
This is an unpaid internship, but AWLCI happily provides support in administrative and facilitative capacities to students who seek to use this internship for college credit or apply for grant/scholarship funding.

Nonprofit Administration Internship

​Our Nonprofit Administration Internship provides interns with a unique opportunity to assist in the administration of a nonprofit organization. Potential responsibilities include grant writing, communicating with partner organizations and our students, recruiting instructors, fundraising, and coordinating programs with other organizations. If interested, additional opportunities in teaching and curriculum development are also available. Our program will provide interns with extensive training and opportunities to develop teaching and leadership skills.​

Applicants must have the following qualities:

  • English fluency

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • A proactive work ethic and professional demeanor

  • ​Ability to work in a collaborative setting and willingness to accept constructive feedback

  • Interest in working with under-served immigrant populations

​The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:​

  • Experience in grant writings

  • Previous nonprofit experience​
