Nonprofit Executive Director

Community Alternatives to Violence, a licensed Abuse Intervention Program, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Executive Director to provide leadership, set the strategic direction, further our mission, and ensure that our services meet the needs of the community. This position reports directly to our Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall operation and management of our organization.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintain compliance with licensure requirements, as well as all federal, state, and local regulations and nonprofit accountability standards.

Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the Board of Directors.

Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing and administration, and partnership development.

Provide active collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff to define and execute the organization’s mission.

Oversee the design and delivery of all the organization’s programs and services, ensuring they contribute effectively to the mission and the beneficiaries and meet licensing requirements.

Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization; represent the program’s point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.

Develop budgets and oversee financial obligations of the organization.

Experience in and understanding of foundational principles of Domestic Violence and BIPP

Attend required trainings in BIPP and DV

Nonprofit leadership

Strong writing skills

Program Specific:

Maintain and grow referral sources

Maintain records of program participants

Prepare and submit progress, completion, discharge reports to courts or other local public and private agencies

Case management for each participant

Maintain Facilitation team, including training, supervision, and support

Attend court hearings and MDT meetings

Class facilitation

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with an Associate’s degree and substantial relevant professional experience, or 10+ years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree, will also be considered.

·       Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft, and Google software

·       Experience in grant writing and administration

 

Salary and Benefits:

·       Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience, education, and qualifications
