The NRCC supports Republican candidates and incumbents through strategic campaign planning, fundraising, and outreach efforts. Role Description
We are seeking candidates to join the NRCC’s legal team as Associate Counsel. This is an entry-level position ideal for law school graduates with 0-4 years of experience with an interest in political campaigns, elections, and congressional ethics. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as a curiosity about this area of law.
The Associate Counsel will provide critical support across a range of legal and operational functions of the committee. Day-to-day responsibilities would include conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and other written materials, managing projects, supporting litigation matters, monitoring redistricting, and collaborating with colleagues across all NRCC departments. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and a team player in a fast-paced environment, as the organization works toward the 2026 midterm elections.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing in a state bar
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and master complex legal and regulatory issues
- Experience in government, political and/or non-profit sector(s) is a plus
