Overview

We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Operations Manager to support a team of government affairs professionals and manage day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage calendars, travel, meetings, and correspondence for the team
  • Prepare detailed reports, including FPPC compliance reports, 401k management, and insurance audits
  • Coordinate invoices, deposits, and accounts receivable tracking
  • Maintain digital and physical files
  • Assist with event logistics, including board meetings; coordinate all aspects of an annual convention, including coordinating contracts, room blocks, menus, etc.
  • Draft correspondence and meeting minutes for association boards
  • Provide general office and visitor support
  • Monitor legislative or agency hearings as needed
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • High School Diploma or GED required; BS/BA in office administration or relevant field preferred


Additional Details

  • Sacramento-based, supporting both a government relations firm and a statewide trade association
  • Occasional travel required for annual events
