Overview
We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Operations Manager to support a team of government affairs professionals and manage day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage calendars, travel, meetings, and correspondence for the team
- Prepare detailed reports, including FPPC compliance reports, 401k management, and insurance audits
- Coordinate invoices, deposits, and accounts receivable tracking
- Maintain digital and physical files
- Assist with event logistics, including board meetings; coordinate all aspects of an annual convention, including coordinating contracts, room blocks, menus, etc.
- Draft correspondence and meeting minutes for association boards
- Provide general office and visitor support
- Monitor legislative or agency hearings as needed
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- High School Diploma or GED required; BS/BA in office administration or relevant field preferred
Additional Details
- Sacramento-based, supporting both a government relations firm and a statewide trade association
- Occasional travel required for annual events
