Job Description
The Partnership Development & Engagement Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with corporations, businesses, and community partners to support the mission of Care For the Homeless. This role focuses on securing philanthropic support, sponsorships, employee engagement opportunities, volunteer partnerships, and strategic collaborations that increase awareness and financial support for the organization’s programs and services across New York City.
Reporting to the Chief Development & Communications Officer, the Partnership Development & Engagement Manager serves as a key strategic relationship builder and ambassador for the organization within the corporate and business community.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnership Development
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate donors, sponsors, and strategic partners.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate supporters and business relationships.
• Create customized sponsorship and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate social responsibility and employee engagement goals.
• Manage existing corporate relationships to ensure strong stewardship, ongoing engagement, and long-term partnership growth.
• Secure support through sponsorships, corporate giving, employee engagement campaigns, volunteerism, and in-kind donations with a goal of securing multi-year commitments.
• Working closely with the Chief Development & Communications Officer, develop corporate engagement strategy and lead day-to-day engagement with prospective and current corporate and community leaders.
• Regularly attend networking and local special events, and community meetings to promote CFH and our programs with goal of building lasting relationships and securing financial support.
Employee Engagement & Volunteer Programs
• Working with CFH leadership, program teams and healthcare and shelter site leaders, develop and coordinate volunteer opportunities and employee engagement activities for corporate partners.
• Work collaboratively with program staff to create meaningful service opportunities including meal service, kit assembly projects, educational workshops, game nights, wellness and education activities, donation drives, and special events.
• Working with the Development Associate, coordinate logistics, communication, and stewardship related to volunteer and engagement activities.
Fundraising & Events
• Support corporate fundraising efforts tied to annual campaigns, special events, and community initiatives.
• Assist in securing event sponsors and corporate participation for fundraising events and mission focused activities.
• Represent the organization at networking events, meetings, community functions, and partnership opportunities.
• Working closely with the Special Events Manager, develop sponsorship opportunities and partnership initiatives to drive support for CFH programs.
Communications & Stewardship
• Working with Communications team, assist in developing partnership proposals, sponsorship materials, impact reports, presentations, and donor communications.
• Ensure timely recognition and stewardship of corporate supporters and sponsors.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach, sponsorships, donor engagement, and partnerships within donor database systems.
