Job Description
Sorini, Samet & Associates LLC (SSA), a specialized Washington DC consulting firm focused on international trade, labor, and sustainability matters, is looking for a motivated policy-focused individual to join our team The Policy Associate would work on issues in international trade, labor standards and sustainability.
§ Conducting quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on trends in supply chain rules and regulations, covering issues related to international trade, labor rights, and sustainability.
§ Research and draft materials for written and verbal policy briefings and updates.
§ Support client advocacy efforts, including help with developing position papers, talking points, legislative proposals; identifying meeting targets, preparing participants and coordinating logistics.
§ Support development and submission of government filings such as requests for public comments and administrative proceedings.
§ Analyze import and export data and using that assessment to further client objectives.
§ Manage and basic technical support of Square Space and Constant Contact platforms and social media (Twitter, LinkedIn).
§ Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, economics, or related field.
§ Self-starter with ability to work independently to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
§ Strong written and verbal skills with keen attention to detail.
§ Strong diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
§ Understanding of legislative, regulatory and political processes.
§ Willingness to work remotely or in-office as necessary (Washington, D.C.).
§ Ability to travel.
§ Previous full-time work experience a plus.
