Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) is seeking a Press Secretary to shape and execute communications strategies for state and national audiences. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and requires frequent travel across Virginia, including weekends and overnights. Responsibilities include developing and implementing proactive communications plans and pitching and responding to inquiries, preparing for press events and interviews, and drafting and editing speeches, talking points, statements, press releases, op-eds, and other content as needed. The ideal applicant is a strong writer who can thrive in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Previous communications experience required, and experience with capturing and editing photo and video is strongly preferred.
