The Office of Congresswoman Analilia Mejia (NJ-11) seeks a Press Secretary/Digital Director to assist in the development and execution of the Congresswoman's communications and digital strategy in her Washington, D.C. office.

Responsibilities are wide-ranging and include, but are not limited to: working closely with the Communications Director to develop and execute comprehensive press and digital strategy; managing all social media accounts and the official website; producing and editing photos, videos and graphics; drafting and distributing an e-newsletter; pitching press and digital influencers; drafting and editing press releases, franked communications, talking points, and other communications materials as assigned; fielding and responding to media inquiries; supporting rapid response; tracking digital performance metrics and trends; staffing press events and interviews as needed; and strong written and verbal communication skills.

This is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates should have either 1-3 years of Hill experience or relevant communications experience. Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Spanish speakers and New Jersey ties are a plus.
