The Office of Congresswoman Julia Brownley (CA-26) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Press Secretary/Digital Manager to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, self-motivated, and creative, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and manage rapid-response demands. This is not an entry-level position.

Competitive applicants will bring a strong background in social media strategy, exceptional writing skills, and proficiency in graphic design. Candidates should also have experience in photography and videography, including the ability to capture, edit, and organize digital content. The role requires the ability to operate efficiently under tight deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, oversee daily press clips and website updates, and work closely with colleagues across the D.C. and district offices. Ties to the district and Spanish fluency are a plus.

Primary responsibilities include drafting social media content, newsletters, mailers, press releases, and prepared remarks, as well as developing weekly social media calendars and longer-range communications plans. The Press Secretary/Digital Manager will also assist with media outreach, coordinate incoming press requests, and support the broader communications and legislative teams as needed.

Salary range is $60,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience.
