Press/Digital Internship:
The Office of Congressman James R. Walkinshaw is looking for an individual who is interested in a paid Press/Digital Internship. Current students and recent graduates with a communication or political science background are encouraged to apply.
Qualified candidates will have strong writing, editing, social media, graphic design, and photography skills, and be able to work on tight deadlines.
Intern responsibilities include:
• Social media content development
• Compiling press clips
• Clipping videos
• Creating graphics
• Drafting social copy
• Assisting with photo and video taking
• Answering the phone
Interested applicants should email a single PDF containing their cover letter, resume, and 1-3 sample graphics to daniella.curatelli@mail.house.gov with “Press/Digital Internship” in the subject line. Applicants are also welcome to include links to video projects, digital portfolios, or other releative creative work.
Interns are accepted throughout the year on a part-time basis. Priority is given to applicants with ties to the 11th District. Selection is based on an applicant's interview, digital samples, and relevant experience.
