Job Summary

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in helping residents at Noah’s House build independence, confidence, and life skills. This position develops and monitors individualized independence plans, provides coaching in life and coping skills, and supports vocational readiness and employment success. The Program Coordinator also assists with staff training, program evaluation, and participates in the on-call rotation to help manage resident behavioral or emotional challenges.

Work hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (evenings and weekends as needed). Hours may be requested and or required due to the pragmatic needs of the residents, staff turnover, emergencies, staff vacations or other unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Hours are subject to change without prior notice and may exceed the normal work hours per week. Schedule changes are at the discretion of the Executive Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

Resident Growth & Independence

  • Develop and implement individualized Independence Plans focused on life skills, behavior, vocational readiness, and executive functioning.
  • Provide direct coaching on areas such as hygiene, organization, time management, and coping strategies.
  • Guide staff in reinforcing resident goals and tracking progress.

Vocational Development

  • Assist residents with resume building, interview practice, and job readiness coaching.
  • Support employed residents by addressing workplace challenges and celebrating successes.
  • Design in-house vocational activities for residents not yet working or those unable to work.

Resident Leadership & Advocacy

  • Develop and co-facilitate the Resident Council, promoting leadership, advocacy, and peer support.
  • Create systems for residents to share feedback and suggestions constructively.

Program Oversight

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and use data to inform improvements.
  • Train and coach staff on skill-building and behavior support strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other coordinators to ensure programs align with Noah’s House’s mission.

Community Engagement

  • Represent Noah’s House at community events and professional meetings.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to expand vocational and skill-building opportunities.

General Duties

  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support staff during resident behavioral or emotional incidents.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed for programming, events, or emergencies.
  • Prepare monthly program reports and contribute to quarterly board updates.

Experience & Qualifictions

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Certification or training in behavioral intervention (ABA, RBT, CPI, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • Experience with life skills training, vocational coaching, and behavior support.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive strategies, learning differences, and positive behavioral intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
