The Program Coordinator is a vital administrative and operational support role within the Programs Department, playing a key role in furthering the Mission’s commitment to excellence in service and Christlike compassion. This position works closely with the Senior VP of Programs (and Program Directors as available and appropriate) to ensure data integrity, support reporting needs, and coordinate communication and logistics for various program initiatives. The Program Coordinator also oversees system tools such as Mission Tracker and CIE, ensuring accurate information management and effective collaboration. The Program Coordinator represents SDRM with professionalism and compassion while helping to drive continuous improvement and mission-aligned outcomes across our services for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Job Purpose

To provide high-level administrative, technical, and coordination support to the Senior VP of Programs and Program Directors, enhancing the operational efficiency and data-driven impact of the Programs Department. The role advances the Mission’s strategic goals by managing data systems, supporting compliance efforts, assisting with grant and funding opportunities. This role is to represent our Mission, Vision, and Values and continue to grow professionally and spiritually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the VP in research, preparation of materials, file tracking, and completion of ongoing training.
  • Compile weekly and monthly statistics, using information given by program leadership when needed. Provide data and statistics to staff when requested.
  • Serve as the lead in managing the relationship with Mission Tracker and data management. This includes regular meetings with Mission Tracker, supporting efforts to provide training on Mission Tracker and data quality.
  • Lead and manage CIE Utilization, the partnership with CIE and Mission Tracker, and work around Single Sign-On capabilities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and embodiment of trauma-informed practices while providing support (i.e. safety, trustworthiness, transparency, empowerment and choice).
  • Coordinate with Programs Staff to make sure data in the Homeless Management Information System is accurate.
  • Provide support for CalAim billing efforts
  • Work with the SDRM Grants Team on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other supporting narratives to help secure government contracts and additional funding.
  • Attend county-wide working groups (such as the CIE Monthly Partner Gathering, CoC General Membership Meeting, SDHC Frontline Staff Advisory Group Meeting.
  • Provide general program support as needed, and other related duties as assigned.
