Job Description
Next Play Nation Basketball (NPNB), owned and operated by Next Play Nation, a nonprofit organization, is expanding into new cities and seeking Program Directors to lead local league operations. This is a part-time, seasonal independent contractor role best suited for individuals passionate about basketball, event management, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage player registration and confirm rosters
- Coordinate referees, scorekeepers, and facility staff
- Oversee game-day operations and ensure smooth execution
- Serve as main liaison between local league and NPNB Central Office
- Build community connections through sponsorships, partnerships, and local promotion
- Supervise interns and volunteers
- Provide weekly updates to NPNB leadership
Compensation
- Guaranteed stipend of $2,000 per season (paid in installments)
- Performance bonus up to $500
- 50% commission on local sponsorships secured
- Total earning potential: $2,500 to $9,000+ per season
Requirements
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
