The Community Affairs Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic engagements within the community to enhance corporate reputation, protect license to operate and support growth. This role establishes a long term vision and develops/drives strategic plans for their organization that comprehensively address trends, issues, and the needs of all stakeholders.

The primary focus of Intel's community engagement focuses on K-12 STEAM education, social equity, and supporting our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) with their community engagement efforts. The Community Affairs manager owns recommendation on the public affairs budget for community grants and sponsorships, identifying opportunities to partner with other groups in Intel to amplify community opportunities and developing a proposal for state-wide impact. Other responsibilities include management of Intel's asset donation program (including devices, equipment and e-waste partnerships), partnering with the global public affairs organization on strategy planning for Intel Involved, and driving the strategy and implementation of community-based sponsorships.

Partner closely with site Public Affairs team to implement site wide initiatives and develop site strategy. Provide general project management support to site wide initiatives as needed.

As a Public Affairs Community Affairs Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and manage the portfolio of strategic community partners and grants
  • Define and deliver strategy for K-12 engagement that aligns with business unit goals, Foundation, GDIS and other Intel priorities
  • Partner with Employee Resource Groups and GDIS to help deliver on strategies to engage community and advance social equity
  • Lead engagement with business units to understand their community engagement objectives and how public affairs can support through programs, partnerships or volunteer activities
  • Partner with Intel Foundation and GDIS on programmatic initiatives such as Future Skills, to localize for Oregon implementation
  • Partner with Oregon Public Affairs Director on engaging employees through community-based Oregon Site Committee projects
  • Lead implementation on global public affairs key community initiatives (ex- Living Labs)
  • Partner with Community Engagement Manager to set sitewide strategy for grants, sponsorships and volunteerism for annual events such as Earth Day
  • Facilitate asset donations to local nonprofits and schools and assist on streamlining e-waste disposition process
  • Work alongside communications manager to share Intel's community giving impact in Oregon through strategic media campaigns

Qualifications


This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willigness to occasionally work outside traditional business hours to support community.

Work Model for this Role


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
