Job Description
The Senate Committee on Finance Democratic staff (Ranking Member Wyden) is seeking a research assistant to assist the Committee’s tax team. The research assistant will prepare for hearings and mark ups, research tax issues, conduct outreach to Senate Finance Committee member staff, and support the rest of the team. This role also involves administrative duties to support the tax staff’s work. Qualified candidates will have strong writing, research, and communication skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and be proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
