Cygnal is selectively seeking an experienced coordinator to join our polling and survey research team. We are looking for a data wizard to work alongside our Sampling team members in executing industry-leading survey research for a diverse base of political, public affairs and corporate clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver survey samples that are accurate, precise, and cost-efficient, trouncing what our competitors can do.

  • Manage projects from launch to completion, taking ownership of outcomes and proactively communicating with data analysts, partners, and sales leads to ensure timely delivery of results

  • Effectively utilize Cygnal’s suite of platforms and partners, following established best practices to deliver superior results.

  • Routinely review, refine, improve, and document Cygnal’s sampling processes to increase efficiency and improve outcomes.

  • Seek opportunities to increase our team and clients’ understanding of electoral and demographic trends using statistical methods.

  • Work with Sampling Directors to understand the applications and limits of Cygnal’s product offerings and methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • Strong project-management and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of the political environment and the application of data to campaign strategy.

  • Ability to learn and adapt rapidly, taking feedback in stride.

  • Creative thinking; able to come up with unique ideas to break through the clutter.

  • Mental toughness to balance competing project demands on short timelines.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and/or unconventional hours as needed.

Desired Skills:

  • Excel, SQL, and/or R/Python.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Required

  • 2+ years’ experience in a polling/political research coordinator role

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Statistics, or a related field

  • Preferred experience with polling, campaigns, voter turnout projects, Excel, and/or SQL

  • Performance-driven and knowledge-hungry with a teachable mindset and willingness to accept and apply feedback

  • Reside in or willing to relocate to Washington, DC
