Job Description
The Senate Employment Office maintains a resume bank of individuals seeking Senate employment, and refers candidate resumes when Senate offices request them. The Senate Employment Office refers resumes to Senate personal and committee offices upon an office's request; most requests originate from a Democratic or Republican personal office, and some Senate offices choose not to advertise vacancies and may ask the Senate Employment Office for resumes instead. To register, create an online profile, complete the questionnaire, and upload a resume, indicating your job preferences, political preference, state ties, and availability. Resume bank applicants should be available for employment within approximately one month of their registration. Registrants who maintain their active status will remain eligible for referral during the current quarter; every quarter the Employment Office will send an email reminder to resubmit the questionnaire to stay active, and the application resets every calendar year. The Senate Resume Bank is also open to undergraduate and professional students seeking temporary internship opportunities. If a Senate office is interested in your application, they will reach out to you directly. For assistance, email the Senate Employment Office at employmentinfo@saa.senate.gov.
