The Senior Director of International Trade will apply knowledge of business strategies and in-depth knowledge of trade policies, regulations and controls to shape the international trade regulatory and policy landscape and to help create a barrier-free trade environment for Intel. They will ensure Intel’s international trade policy strategy, globally, is aligned with Intel’s corporate goals, especially as it pertains to US-China trade relations. The role also includes communicating new policies, regulations, regulatory guidance and awareness to business unit leaders, so they understand the requirements that pertain to their business. The individual will serve as point of contact for interactions with government agencies for defined matters. The Senior Director of International Trade will report to the Chief Trade Officer, GM of International Trade Group, with a strong matrix partnership with Intel's Government Affairs Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with industry, governments and multilateral institutions.
- Identify, analyse, advocate, and build industry coalitions for Intel’s objectives and positions on international trade including extensive work related to trade agreements, export controls, customs, tariffs, non-tariff barriers and human rights.
- Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders and key stakeholders to inform decisions and public statements impacting Intel’s business.
- Develop and execute regional and multilateral engagement strategies.
- Create trade policy content and documents that will be used to facilitate Intel’s engagement with stakeholders including written comments to government agencies.
- Represent Intel at relevant trade associations and multilateral institutions (e.g., WTO, WCO).
- Work closely and build collaborative relations between Intel’s International Trade Group and Intel’s Government Affairs Group to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, etc.) is highly desirable.
- 10+ years' experience in international trade or in the government.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience communicating with government trade regulators and senior business leaders.
- Technology business acumen is preferred.
