Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Sonoma County, CA. The Senior Philanthropic Advisor will serve as a trusted partner to donors, providing strategic guidance and expertise in philanthropy to align their charitable goals with community needs. Responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors, creating tailored philanthropic strategies, managing donor funds, and providing insights on local and national philanthropic trends. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with teams to develop donor-focused programming and ensuring effective communication on philanthropic initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills for donor cultivation and stewardship.
  • Expertise in philanthropic advising, fundraising, and grantmaking strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of local and national philanthropy, and an understanding of nonprofit organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees or certifications in philanthropy or nonprofit management are a plus.
  • Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity through philanthropic practices.
