The Daily Wire is looking for a Senior Publicist who will play a key role in planning and executing national PR campaigns for Daily Wire talent, brands, projects, and products in broadcast, print, and electronic media and will work closely with the public relations team to support and execute media strategies set by the department head and Daily Wire executive leadership. We are looking for an experienced candidate who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment!

Responsibilities

• Think strategically and tactically about obtaining results-oriented media bookings and placements relative to any given brand or project
• Swift and adeptly create powerful and attention-grabbing news hooks
• Know and understand the major media players across a variety of media sectors, especially in politics, entertainment, and business
• Plan and implement publicity campaigns for product, book, and entertainment launches and more
• Manage day to day relations with national media outlets, outside organizations, and talent
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work according to an ever-changing news cycle and dynamic internal business strategies
• Cultivate a strong rapport with key media players
• Arrange publicity opportunities such as media appearances and interviews
• Be a confident yet humble team player who is comfortable receiving and following direction from senior team members
• Manage several projects at one time
• Be comfortable with rejection and able to handle conflict tactfully and diplomatically
• Manage the details, strategies, and timelines of projects to which he or she is assigned

Experience & Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience working as a publicist in the industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in either English, Communications, Journalism, Publicity or related field preferred
• Possess strong knowledge of current affairs in the industry
• Passionate about advancing the Daily Wire mission and brand
• Have well-developed interpersonal skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• G-suite proficiency

Reports to: VP of PR & Publishing

Start date: Immediate

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Compensation: Dependent upon experience
