Overview

We are looking for a full-time creative storyteller to help VOX bring our client stories to life through fresh and inspiring creative work. This individual will join our growing video team and collaborate with creative directors and digital strategists to fully produce and edit live-action video projects of all kinds.

The ideal person for this role is well versed in video production — from pre-production coordination to editing/finalizing completed projects. While this role will generally not involve filming footage personally, a background in production/filming is required as this role will involve directing and producing small, 2-3 people external camera crews.

This candidate is passionate about storytelling and enthusiastic about learning new techniques and technologies. They are also a proactive, detail-oriented communicator who is professional and capable under deadlines and client pressure. The ideal person for this role will be a self-starter who is eager to create digital experiences that make a lasting impact. The candidate will work with a close team of mentors and receive all necessary training.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, produce and edit live-action videos for various usages and formats (web, advertising, social media)
  • Travel for on-site video producing and directing with external video crew
  • Ability to manage and advance multiple projects at the same time.
  • Independent management and prioritization of client projects to ensure timely delivery
  • Receive and incorporate direct client feedback into video projects
  • Design, develop and integrate animated overlay assets into finalized videos (subtitles, lower thirds, intro/outro logo animations, etc…)
  • Oversee video production budgets and schedules
  • Create scripts and storyboards to present ideas to internal teams and clients
  • Stay current on latest and greatest video editing techniques
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and critique sessions by sharing new perspectives and ideas, in addition to critiquing work
  • Effective writing and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (ie Multimedia, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Communications)
  • 4-6 years of experience in video production
  • Expert in Premiere Pro and After Effects. Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop desired.
  • Experience with audio post-production tools (such as Audition Audition) and color post-production (After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc…)
  • Expert use with Mac computers (required)
