Job Description

Echelon Insights is hiring a Special Projects Coordinator to support our partners and staff in the operational and administrative aspects of the business while also assisting with research and analytics projects. The Special Projects Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Operations but will also support other members of the Echelon staff as-needed.

This is an entry-level position perfect for an individual looking for exposure to the polling and data analytics world as well as to the mechanics of running and growing a business in the politics and advocacy arena. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a strong work ethic and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at once. Preference will be given to candidates with interest and experience in politics, whether that be campaigning, policy, advocacy, or anything in between. A background and demonstrated understanding of dealing with data is a plus as well.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage scheduling, travel, and logistics for partners and team members

Handle office administration tasks: invoicing, making deposits, drafting contracts, maintenance, purchasing, new employee processing, answering calls, planning internal office activities

Maintain our sales CRM, keeping track of all business in the pipeline

Update the website and curate social media content on multiple platforms

Assist with special projects: the weekly newsletter, creating marketing materials, proofreading, and additional tasks for the research team

Secondary Responsibilities:

Assist the research team in drafting survey instruments and proposed research designs

Checking survey logic during the drafting process and applying quality control standards to final results to ensure accuracy

Coordinating logistics for research projects, including focus groups and surveys

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Keynote

Experience with website and social platforms (Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and business platforms (QuickBooks, Airtable, Salesforce)

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Task-oriented with superior organizational skills

Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects

Interest in our work, including politics, data, and digital media
