Job Description

The Office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks a DC-based speechwriter. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional and quick writer, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work as part of a team. Primary responsibilities include working with the senator and legislative team on speeches, op/eds, statements, congressional testimony and related materials on a wide breadth of topics. Must be comfortable pushing products through approval processes. Qualified candidates should have multiple years of relevant experience, strong analytical, writing, editing, research and proofreading skills as well as working knowledge of Congress.
