Job Description
Senator Richard Blumenthal seeks interns to serve in his Hartford, CT and Washington, D.C. offices for the spring 2026 semester. The Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn and serve through first-hand participation in government services and the legislative process. We welcome all applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence and have displayed a commitment to public service.
This Program is designed to enhance a course of study for an undergraduate or graduate student, with the level of work appropriate for students who have completed their first year at a college or university. On the whole, the goal is to offer as rewarding an experience as possible, while fulfilling the existing needs of the office.
While preference is given to Connecticut residents, students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The office is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, is an equal opportunity employer, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
The Spring 2026 session will run from January 12, 2026 until May 22, 2026.
Complete applications, submitted on our OAM portal, will be reviewed on a rolling basis until December 22, 2025. To apply, visit: https://oampluspublic.senate.gov/public/login/c3e74f10-50f1-4e4d-b4dc-5dc00a053bab
