Job Description
Center Forward is seeking a well-connected, personable Outreach and Engagement Coordinator who is inspired by our mission to give centrist allies the information they need to craft common-sense solutions, and provide those allies the support they need to turn those ideas into results.
The primary role of the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator in the organization is to develop, strengthen, and maintain strong relationships with Center Forward stakeholders both on Capitol Hill, and in the business and advocacy community. The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will work in tandem with the programming lead to sync the work of the team and grow the organization. The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will succeed by:
- Creating and leveraging strong relationships with stakeholders, Members of Congress, congressional staff, foreign diplomats, third party advocacy groups, and others
- Collaborating closely with the Director of Programming to strategically organize programming and engage broad audiences in doing so
- Amplifying research, polling, policy and political work, and special projects to all Center Forward partners
- Identifying new Members of Congress, congressional staff, and potential stakeholders as transitions regularly occur, and devising a strategy to engage them in Center Forward programming
- Writing reports, summaries, and updates that highlight both the quantitative and qualitative successes of annual programming, conferences, and special projects
- Track issues for and regularly engage with key stakeholders through a variety of mediums to further connect to the work and mission of Center Forward
- Representing Center Forward at events and speaking intelligently about the history and current work of, as well as partnership opportunities with Center Forward
- Building broad brand identification and awareness within the business and political communities in and out of Washington, D.C.
- Managing a system that tracks engagement, prioritizes new introductions, and strategizes future outreach
- Supporting the Director of Programming on various projects

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in GSuite, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of government, legislative, and executive processes is helpful but not required

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator position (salaried, exempt) is $55,000 – $65,000 USD.
