U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal seeks Staff Assistant candidates to fill an immediate, entry-level vacancy in his Washington, D.C. office. Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting visitors and meetings in the reception office, coordinating flag requests and tour requests, opening mail, and other duties as assigned. Qualified applicants must be personable, dependable, be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and have a keen attention to detail. Additionally, they must be able to communicate effectively and remain highly organized. This is a fulltime, in-person role, that sometimes requires evening and weekend hours, depending upon the Senate schedule. A bachelor’s degree is required, and the successful applicants must be able to onboard and work in Washington, D.C. Connecticut ties are required.
