Student Donor Experience Coordinator
The Student Donor Experience Coordinator will carry out strategic initiatives aimed at engaging and retaining donors. Responsibilities include assisting with developing and executing engagement strategies, creating captivating video content, and fostering donor relationships through personalized communication.
Utilizing data analytics to track engagement metrics and inform decision-making, the Student Donor Coordinator will craft compelling messaging for various channels. Additionally, the Coordinator assists in outreach efforts and event coordination to ensure effective stakeholder engagement. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive philanthropic impact and strengthen connections within our donor community.
The student fundraiser position requires being in front of a computer for 3.5 to 4.0 hours at a time. The ASU Foundation is an off-campus employer. Must be eligible to work in the U.S and be able to work 15 – 20 hours a week.
A student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
What you’ll do:
Assist with development and execute strategies to engage donors, including communication plans, and outreach initiatives
Build captivating video content centered on philanthropic priorities and fundraising initiatives at the University, effectively conveying key messages to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Cultivate strong relationships with current and prospective donors, understanding their motivations and interests to enhance their experience.
Implement stewardship programs to express gratitude and recognition to donors, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation within the donor community.
Maintain accurate records of donors and their contributions, utilizing data analytics to track engagement metrics and inform strategic decision-making
Craft compelling messaging and content for various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and newsletters, to effectively communicate the impact of philanthropy.
Assist in outreach efforts and follow-up for events and activities on behalf of Alumni Relations and Development, ensuring effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.
What you'll need:
Prior customer service skills recommended
Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Ability to apply creative thinking to develop engaging content and messages for different platforms.
Basic skills in creating simple and captivating videos to highlight university initiatives and fundraising efforts.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information
Ability to develop friendly and respectful connections with donors and stakeholders to understand their interests and motivations.
Ability to Keep track of donor information and contributions in an organized manner.
Basic understanding of how to maintain accurate records and use data to inform decision-making.
Familiarity with social media platforms and ability to contribute to posts and campaigns.
Ability to Write clear and concise emails to communicate updates and express gratitude to donors.
Ability to Build rapport with donors and stakeholders through phone or virtual calls, advocating for university priorities in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
Ability to Collaborate effectively with peers and university staff to support initiatives and events.
An advocate’s belief in the vision of ASU as the New American University
Ability to represent the institution well
Relevant qualifications:
An ASU student enrolled in or pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field with a willingness to learn and an ability to work well with others is also encouraged to apply.
6 months of experience in client relationship building, assisting with communication strategies, and content creation.
