Job Description
The Majority Staff for the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee is seeking full- or part-time interns for the summer. Interns will gain firsthand experience with the legislative process and the Committee’s work on financial services, housing, banking, capital markets, and economic policy. Responsibilities include processing constituent correspondence, tracking legislation and policy developments, observing hearings, briefings, and markups, and conducting legislative and policy research. Candidates should have strong research and writing skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous Hill experience or South Carolina ties are strongly preferred, but not required.
