Role Description

This is a hybrid internship role for a Tech Policy Intern located in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area, with the flexibility for some remote work. The Tech Policy Intern will support research and analysis of emerging technology policies, draft policy briefs and reports, and assist in the development of policy recommendations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, contributing to stakeholder engagement strategies, and participating in team meetings and discussions to inform project work. This role offers valuable hands-on experience for those looking to gain insight into the intersection of technology and public policy.


Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct research and analyze emerging technology policies, regulations, and trends.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and editing capabilities, including drafting clear, concise policy briefs and reports.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in both in-person and remote settings.
  • Understanding or interest in technology, public policy, and government operations is highly desirable.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for research, collaboration, and content creation.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in technology policy research or advocacy is a plus.
