JOB SUMMARY:
The Austin Habitat for Humanity Vice President of Marketing and Communications will lead our marketing efforts and enhance the AHFH brand visibility in the five counties we serve. This role is responsible for developing and executing a strategic marketing and communication initiative to drive engagement, outreach and fundraising, build awareness, market affordable homes, boost sales in our ReStores and support the overall AHFH mission. The VP of Marketing and Communications will manage and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team by both example and excellent leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy that aligns with the AHFH mission and goals.
- Brand Management: Establish and maintain a strong cohesive brand identity across all channels, ensuring alignment with our values and message.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee all digital marketing efforts including website management, email marketing, SEO, SEM, social media and online advertising and annual fundraising campaigns.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation of compelling content, including newsletters, fundraising appeals, articles, blog posts, videos and social media updates to promote the AHFH mission, ReStores, fundraising campaigns and community involvement.
- Public Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists and stakeholders and coordinate PR activities to raise awareness and enhance our image and resource development.
- ReStore Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies specific to our ReStores, driving foot traffic and increasing sales and quality donations.
- Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed for optimal results.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team, ensuring the development of individual skills and the collective success of the department, while working collaboratively with fellow leaders to ensure key objectives across multiple departments (Development, ReStore, Client Services) are met.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee the marketing and communications budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize the impact of marketing initiatives.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior-level marketing and communications role, with a minimum of 7 years experience.
- Preferred candidate will have experience with or for a nonprofit business.
- Strong leadership and team management skills and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in traditional nonprofit marketing and digital marketing including SEO, SEM and social media.
- Proficiency with marketing tools and software.
- Strong knowledge of non-profit marketing and fundraising best practices.
- Passion for the AHFH mission and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in our community.
COMPENSATION:
- $90,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
