About More Than Welcome
More Than Welcome was founded in 2023 to serve the growing needs of the Austin refugee and asylum-seeking community. We are a Christian organization whose mission is to emulate Jesus’s love for the foreigner by coming alongside them and helping them on their journey to self-sufficiency. We are a community of purpose-driven individuals who both serve and are served through engaging together in our mission. Our goal is to mobilize the Austin church, business, and social services community to come alongside these families and make them feel more than welcome.
