ABOUT THE POSITION:
TIRRC Votes is seeking an experienced Volunteer and Field Operations Coordinator to spearhead our electoral efforts across the state. This position will be responsible for managing the organization’s backend support for the field team, as well as volunteer recruitment to supplement the ground game, with the goal of registering eligible immigrant and refugee communities, involving voters in digital campaigns, and getting our base and allies to participate in local, state, and federal elections.

TIRRC Votes is the 501(c)4 affiliate of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition. Founded in 2018, our mission is to strengthen and expand our democracy by building power in immigrant and refugee communities and advocating for equitable and inclusive public policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Volunteer Recruitment
- Building volunteer infrastructure for TIRRC Votes through volunteer recruitment strategies and systems;
- Make volunteer recruitment calls to hit volunteer goals for various TIRRC Votes events;
- Connect with various immigrant student groups and potential nonprofit partners across the state to find collaboration opportunities;
- Identify opportunities and events across the state to send field team to accomplish voter registration goals.
Field Team Support
- Recruit, interview, train, and coordinate schedules for part-time lead and general voter engagement team members, such as canvassers, phonebankers, and community education coordinators;
- Cut turf and quality control monitoring in VAN and Mini-VAN;
- Coordinate virtual canvass and voter registration trainings at least once a week for volunteer and new paid canvassing team;
- Monitor registration links and data entry for all TIRRC Votes events through our Mobilize and EveryAction platforms.
Data + Operations Support
- Receive, review, and approve intake paperwork, timesheets, credit card receipts, and reimbursements of all TIRRC Votes supervisees in coordination with field team;
- Support Operations team with FEC filing documentation;
- Support the HR and Finance Manager with payroll for all part-time staff through ADP, including ensuring all timesheets are completed and accurate by payroll deadlines;
- Enter data and contacts into organizational databases;
- Create lists of voters using Voter Activation Network (VAN) for phonebanks, textbanks, and canvasses while maintaining data integrity of the organization;
- Create VAN lists for partner organizations that are wishing to participate in civic engagement activities;
- Follow best practices and organizational policies for integrating VAN data to our organizational database to maintain organizational data hygiene.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Belief in TIRRC Votes’ mission and commitment to social justice;
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with diverse communities;
- Strong computer skills; experience with VAN, MiniVAN, EveryAction, Spoke, ThruText, and Mobilize preferred;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends with possibility of travel;
- Fluency in English;
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel regularly within Middle TN.
SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:
Salary Range: $47,000-52,000 depending on experience with relocation support available.
