You are a strong storyteller who is passionate about DEI work, and can manage a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong attention to detail. You should have a proven ability to concisely advise on communications strategies, build relationships with internal and external audiences and effectively manage the company’s reputation.
You will be a trusted advisor to the DEI Global Communications Executive Director to help drive the firm’s storytelling and content creation across the firms internal and external platforms. This role will be responsible for managing internal processes for content creation, build relationships with communications colleagues across the firm’s line of business, the DEI Pillars and Centers of Excellence with a collaborative and can do-attitude.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the DEI Global Communications Executive Director with internal and external communications processes and editorial in support of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work, partnering with communications team members and key senior executives and stakeholders across the firm to execute on communications strategies.
- Drive editorial consensus and review processes across various business units to achieve the company's communications goals.
- Develop internal and external articles to support and elevate the voice and work of JPMorgan Chase’s DEI work with an eye towards an inclusive lens from a geographic, Line of Business and Center of Excellence perspective.
- Generate new story ideas and collaborate with others within the communications team and internal stakeholders in a matrixed, fast-paced, creative environment.
- Continuously challenge and evolve messaging, communications channels and platforms to keep pace with quickly evolving media landscape and needs, with an eye towards crisis and reputation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- More than seven years’ communications experience at a global corporation, public relations agency or equivalent industry.
- Critical thinking and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with proven ability to thoroughly and concisely advise on communications strategies, build relationships with internal and external audiences and effectively manage a company’s reputation.
- Track record successfully managing internal and external communications including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the globe and understand cultural differences and DEI landscape.
- Proven success in media relations and creative storytelling.
- Strong writer and storyteller, including internal communications, media relations and thought leadership.
- A strong team orientation and experience required, with organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work under pressure and influence and drive positive change as an effective team leader and business partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate DEI communications, financial service, reputation management and crisis communications.
