Finance Director

Congressman Shri Thanedar is searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic

Finance Director to lead his fundraising efforts for the 2026 election cycle. Applications will be

accepted on a rolling basis. The position may start remotely but will ultimately be based in

Detroit or Washington, DC.

Qualifications

● At least one cycle of fundraising experience

● Self-starter with a robust work ethic who is willing to work weekends and evenings in a

fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a high level of attention to detail.

● Strong writer who can clearly communicate complex ideas in written form.

● Confidence to work directly with the Congressman and take the lead on fundraising

efforts.

● Reliable access to a car or other transportation to regularly travel as needed.

● Ties to Michigan are preferred but not required.

● Familiarity with technology like NGP, calltime.ai, etc

Responsibilities

● Plan and execute fundraising plan for 2026 cycle.

● Oversee fundraising events including managing host relations and prospecting invitees.

● Manage call time including prospecting PACs and other potential donors.

● Pre-screen and schedule calls and meetings to maximize the Congressman’s time.

● Recruit and manage interns to assist with fundraising efforts.

This is a full-time position, ideally based in Detroit or DC but can start remotely.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
