Economist and Policy Adviser

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and analytical Policy Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and qualitative research, with the ability to inform policy decisions through rigorous analysis and strategic insights. This role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate policies that align with organizational goals.

Duties

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess the impact of existing policies and propose new initiatives.
• Utilize data collection methods to gather relevant information for policy development.
• Analyze trends and forecasts using advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and statistical software such as R and Stata.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on policy objectives and strategies.
• Monitor legislative changes and industry trends to provide timely updates on potential impacts on organizational policies.
• Engage in discussions with policymakers, researchers, and community partners to advocate for evidence-based policy solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in qualitative analysis, data analysis skills, and analytics.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• A degree in Public Policy, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $49.77 per hour
