Summary
The portfolio includes assisting in the development and review of regulations, executive orders, legislation, and policy proposals.
The attorney in this position will counsel OMB leadership, managers, and staff at all levels across the Agency regarding a broad range of matters involving the Administrative Procedure Act and the Federal regulatory process, primarily serving as an attorney supporting OIRA.
Duties
As a General Attorney, GS-0905-14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
The attorney in this position will counsel OMB leadership, managers, and staff at all levels across the Agency regarding a broad range of matters involving the Administrative Procedure Act and the Federal regulatory process, primarily serving as an attorney supporting the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs OIRA.
The portfolio includes assisting in the development and review of regulations, executive orders, legislation, and policy proposals.
In addition to regulatory work, the attorney would also have opportunities to support other important OGC work across the full spectrum of OMB's legal portfolios.
This position has a primary focus on regulatory law supporting OIRA, including a diverse portfolio providing guidance concerning the Administrative Procedure Act, the Paperwork Reduction Act, and the Privacy Act.
