Northeast Arc is seeking an energetic entrepreneurial dynamic leader to head its Family Services Division. As the director, you will direct the day-to-day operations of the division providing strategic leadership to our autism support centers, recreation and special Olympics, assistive technology and guided personal supports programs.
We are looking for a proven change agent with strong experience in leading a high-functioning, diverse team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, listening and collaboration skills, while also being able to make hard, transparent decisions in a sometimes-ambiguous environment. You must also have the emotional intelligence and disposition to build trust and lead the division forward by collaborating and building bridges within and outside the disability community. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be an innovative, big picture thinker who can articulate and align the family services division strategies, programs, and projects with Northeast Arc’s overall strategy. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our ongoing by directing and shaping the work of your team!
Qualifications include:
- Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of five years working with developmental disabilities or autism in a leadership role
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Experience in evaluating and/or negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with and present to diverse audiences including donors, board members, employees, outside partners, members of government or equivalent.
