As the Executive Assistant for Government Affairs, you will:
Support the General Manager of Federal and International Government Affairs and the General Manager of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Provide general administrative support which may include coordinating meetings and appointments, planning events/meetings, ordering office supplies, maintaining files, badging/credentials for visitors and contractors.
Provide thorough calendar management including: Ensuring the right people are in each meeting, helping manage cadence of meetings to maximize leader’s time (i.e., when possible leaving blocks of calendar time free for work time), gathering pre-read in advance.
Coordinate domestic and international travel plans as required. Scheduling in person meetings in line with planned travel and managing expense reports.
Manage onboarding and offboarding process for new team members.
Communicate and interact effectively with other leaders and employees.
Maintain highest degree of confidentiality at all times.
Assist in preparing presentation slides including proof-reading.
Independently complete projects by gathering, organizing and summarizing information and preparing documents from general instructions using Microsoft Office applications.
Maintain effective networks throughout Chevron and outside organizations.
Requirements
High School diploma
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar positions
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, One Note and SharePoint
Demonstrated capability to maintain complex calendars
Ability to prepare manager(s) for meetings and other events including pre-read materials and maintain high level of confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines while producing high quality work and ability to anticipate needs and follow projects through to completion.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
