Job Description
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is seeking a Healthcare Legislative Assistant (LA) to join his Office’s domestic policy team.
- The LA will focus on issues related to the Departments of Health and Human Services and the Social Security Administration and will work closely with members of the domestic policy and state teams.
- The LA helps staff Senator Cruz on relevant policy issues, drafts legislation, leads legislative initiatives, represents the Senator in meetings with constituents and key stakeholders, and monitors broader legislative activity related to healthcare. Candidates should excel in a team setting, operate well under pressure, and possess strong time management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- The most qualified candidates will have prior Hill experience and an understanding of healthcare policy in the United States.
