This role is a key position responsible for driving Apple TV+’s government relations and advocacy both in the US and abroad. This role will work closely with Apple TV+ operations and support teams, as well as with other government affairs groups across Apple.



Key Qualifications


Minimum 15 years of experience in public affairs; strong studio and global public affairs experience including government affairs, policy and advocacy, subsidy and incentive procurement, legislative navigation and crisis and issues management.



Ability to translate the government affairs priorities, opportunities and challenges of a studio and subscription streaming service across a complex, global, and highly-matrixed organization, with special capability to collaborate, and manage portfolio regardless of location.



Excellent leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to advise and influence a wide range of internal and external colleagues at all levels of the organization.



Strong, skilled, effective communicator with proven track record of distilling complex ideas into effective, clear, concise and practical content.



Proven ability to make, build consensus around, and get acceptance for, tough decisions in a highly collaborative and interdependent organization.



Quick strategic problem solver, who is able to effectively synthesize and translate complex material for education/engagement purposes both internally and externally.



Demonstrate sound judgement and integrity and be known for building a working environment based on mutual respect and trust.



Be willing and able to work effectively in high-stress, high-pressure situations.



Deep understanding of the business and policy nuances in the entertainment industry.



Description


Develop organizational and advocacy strategy/tactics relating to Apple TV+ production operations in close partnership with Apple TV+ leadership and the Apple global government affairs team.



Build a strong network of internal relationships with Apple executives, studio personnel, country managers, state government affairs leads, outside regional consultants and cross-functional colleagues.



Identify production subsidy and incentive opportunities globally and navigate the internal and external processes required to obtain them.



Work collaboratively with global government affairs colleagues to address policy issues related to production operations.



Closely follow key trends in the political, media, entertainment industry, film program and economic landscape, monitoring for coverage or major developments that impact Apple TV+ and the larger business environment.



Monitor and flag legislative and regulatory actions that would impact Apple TV+’s operations and/or business goals and make appropriate recommendations to company leaders for action.



Work to develop, foster, and strengthen relationships with key policymakers and influencers, and third party organizations.



Serve as an external representative to government officials on Apple TV+’s behalf.



Education & Experience


Bachelor’s degree required, relevant Master’s degree a plus; typically requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in government, government relations, or other advocacy/engagement roles.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $206,800 and $359,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
