Job Description
Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet seeks a DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY to join an active communications team. This role will be based in D.C. and report to the Communications Director. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of political communications experience, excellent writing skills, basic graphic design, video editing, and photography knowledge, and experience drafting social media posts. They must maintain a sense of humor and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
In coordination with the Communications Director, the Deputy Press Secretary will respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews and media appearances. The Deputy Press Secretary will manage our robust newsletter program and draft social media content. This role also helps manage and hire a press fellow and interns.
