Oversight Counsel

Ranking Member Edward J. Markey of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship seeks an Oversight Counsel to lead the committee’s work on oversight and investigations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying and analyzing oversight issues within the committee’s jurisdiction, drafting, editing, and gathering support for oversight letters and investigative reports, and devising legislative responses to identified and relevant oversight issues. Additional responsibilities include reviewing relevant press materials and briefing the Ranking Member on oversight and investigations efforts. Applicants must have demonstrated experience conducting oversight of the executive branch and must possess exceptional research and writing skills, keen attention to detail, time management skills, and efficient written and oral communication skills. A law degree is required. Prior Hill oversight or investigations experience preferred.
