The Boeing Company is currently seeking a State & Local Government Operations Analyst (Associate or Mid-Level) to join their team in Arlington, VA.

The Government Operations, State & Local Analyst will support the State & Local team with researching, tracking, analyzing, and evaluating state and local legislative and regulatory issues and their impact. The analyst will help provide support to the Vice President of Boeing State & Local, as well as the full State & Local team by contributing to advance the companies priorities through our commitment to first time quality, transparency, and corporate responsibility. The State & Local Analyst will report to the Chief of Staff, for State & Local Government Operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare memoranda, reports, messaging, and presentations for the Vice President of Boeing State & Local and other Government Operations leaders
  • Contribute to briefing materials and presentations for senior company leaders
  • Collaborate with our government operations team at Boeing facilities throughout the country to analyze and interpret state legislative developments on issues such as: sustainability, AI, workforce, etc.
  • Track relevant policy developments, conduct research, and provide insights to guide advocacy strategies
  • Prepare, manage, and share materials on potential impact of enacted legislation to optimize team collaboration, effectiveness, and compliance
  • Assist with coordination, communication, and preparation for visits with Federal, State and Local government and elected officials at Boeing facilities including corporate headquarters
  • Support to special events and projects (e.g., team offsites, industry airshows, other events)
  • Create reports and metrics to capture team operations and engagements (e.g., elected officials site visits tracker, weekly reports, advocacy reports, other information)
  • Monitor and track internal operations deliverables including, but not limited to, budget analyses, vehicle inventory, field office leases, meetings/events, etc.
  • Provide analysis, writing and editing support on briefing documents, fact sheets, legislative cards, and presentations
  • Work in close collaboration with all Government Operations colleagues to coordinate external and internal messaging, to ensure alignment and amplification of company initiatives and priorities
  • Maintain relationships with executives and internal subject matter experts by networking and understanding the processes of the operating group to provide government relations guidance for senior leadership engagements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in government relations or a related field
  • Experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience tracking legislation
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations
  • High attention to detail, self-starter, communicative, collaborative, tenacious
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication across diverse audiences
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Associate): $74,800 - $101,200

Summary pay range (Mid-Level): $89,250 - $120,750
