Overview:

The Democratic National Committee is seeking a State Operations Lead to support our ongoing mission of empowering Democrats up and down the ballot. We are looking for individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experience and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America. The State Operations Lead will coordinate across multiple departments, including Operations, Political, Organizing and Accounting to create and maintain operational processes and ensure that the DNC is an essential contributor to state infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, promote and oversee agile DNC operations-related campaign systems and training.
  • Support the recruiting, hiring and onboarding systems for program staff, from start to finish, in conjunction with the Operations, HR, Technology and Accounting teams
  • Support the procurement of services and materials necessary for program operations
  • Oversee the process of leasing and management of field offices
  • Collaborate with the Operations, Political, Organizing, Accounting and other teams on projects
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • You have at least one cycle of general campaign experience and at least one cycle of campaign operations experience with previous statewide operations experience (strongly preferred)
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience
  • You have strong people management abilities, prior staff management experience preferred.
  • You have strong organizational skills, communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work.
  • No task is too small, you are a team player willing to roll up your sleeves!
  • You have prior budgetary experience (preferred)
  • You have prior experience with technology and cybersecurity (preferred)
  • You are committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

Travel required: Low, 10%

Salary: $95,000
