Press Intern

The Office of Congressman George Whitesides (CA-27) is hiring a full-time Press Intern to work in the Washington, D.C. office. The Press Intern will work directly with the Communications team, and be part of day to day communications operations.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Compiling daily news clips
• Assist with drafting social media posts and filming video content
• Drafting press releases, newsletters and other written materials
• Maintaining press lists
• Assist with creating content for the website

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. On occasion, the Press Intern will fill in for other full-time interns with answering phones, directing constituent messages, etc, but their primary responsibility will be to the Communications team.
